Front Steering Bracket Separates From The Frame

Recall Details

The front track bar frame bracket welds may fail, resulting in the track bar separating from the frame. Dealers will weld on a new track bar frame bracket or replace the frame of the vehicle free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

A part of the front steering and suspension system may fracture and separate from the vehicle frame, resulting in reduced steering response. This could result in loss of vehicle control and cause an accident.

What Should You Do?

Recall repairs on your Ram truck must be performed by a Ram dealership. Chrysler will notify known owners of affected vehicles (a timetable of this notification is not available as of the time of this writing). If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ram dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
