Recall 16V111000

Rear Seat Belt Buckles Do Not Latch

Recall Details

If the rear seat belt buckles are subject to having heavy objects placed upon them, or are subject to impact, they may not latch properly, which would result in the ineffective restraint of vehicle occupants. Dealers will modify or replace the seat belt buckles free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

The rear seat belt buckles may not latch because of damage to the belts from heavy objects being placed on the buckles or impacts to the buckle. This would prevent proper restraint of occupants in an accident, increasing risk of injury.
