Rear Axle Shaft Fractures

Recall Details

The rear axle shafts may not have been heat treated properly during manufacturing. As a result, they may fracture. Dealers will inspect the vehicles and replace the axle assemblies as needed free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

The rear axle shafts may not have been properly heat treated, resulting in them being susceptible to fracturing. This could cause the wheel to separate from the vehicle, resulting in a crash.

What Should You Do?

Chrysler will notify known owners of affected vehicles (a timetable of this notification is not available as of the time of this writing).
