Recall 15V426000

Air Bag Lamp, Instrument Cluster, Wipers Stop Functioning

Recall Details

Improper installation of fuses in the passenger side interior fuse box could compromise functionality of various electrical components, including the passenger seat occupancy detection system for proper air bag operation, the instrument cluster and the windshield wipers. Dealers will inspect the orientation and position of fuses, and if necessary replace the fuse box free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

Various electrical components such as the passenger air bag indicator lamp, the front passenger seat occupancy recognition system, the instrument cluster and the windshield wipers could unexpectedly stop functioning. This is due to an issue with the proper installation of fuses in the passenger side interior fuse box. As a result, occupant safety may be compromised, and risk of injury would be increased.
