Recall 14V675000

Tire Pressure

Recall Details

These vehicles are equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system designed to warn the driver if the pressure in one or more tires becomes to low. In the affected vehicles, if all four tire were to gradually loose pressure at the same rate the tire pressure monitor system (TPMS) may not alert the driver of the drop in pressure. If the vehicle is operated with the tires at the incorrect pressure sudden tire failure could result, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will update the TPMS software to correct this concern.

Our Quick Take

The Tire Pressure Monitoring system may not function as expected, resulting in the vehicle being operated with tires at the incorrect pressure.

What Should You Do?

Mazda will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning December 5, 2014. If you don't receive notification in a timely manner and believe you should have, please contact your Mazda dealer for further instruction. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call.
