Chrysler Recalls 2007 Dodge Rams Due to Defective Driveshaft Yoke

Recall Details

Chrysler has recalled certain 2007 Dodge Ram 1500/2500 models with manual transmissions because the front driveshaft yoke may break under certain driving conditions. This may result in a loss of vehicle control, which increases the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the driveshaft.

Summary
ON CERTAIN TWO WHEEL DRIVE TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS, THE FRONT DRIVESHAFT YOKE MAY BREAK UNDER CERTAIN DRIVING CONDITIONS.
Consequence
THIS COULD RESULT IN A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE DRIVESHAFT FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 22, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DAIMLER CHRYSLER AT 1-800-853-1403.
