Recall 07E105000

Braking Force May Be Reduced Unexpectedly

Recall Details

Certain continental automotive ABS and ESC control modules installed in these recalled vehicles may have been assembled with extra check balls. The extra balls can restrict the flow of brake fluid and cause a reduction of braking force. Dealers will make the necessary repairs to correct this concern.

Our Quick Take

The force needed to apply the brakes may be greater than expected.

What Should You Do?

Vehicle manufacturers have not determined a notification schedule as of this time. If you are experiencing braking issues and don't receive notification, please contact your dealer. It's helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) when you call.
