Ford Recalls 2001 F150 Regular Cab Trucks for Driver's Side Seat Belt Retractor Issue

Recall Details

Ford has recalled certain 2001 F150 regular cab trucks for a concern with the driver's side seat belt. The seat belt may not retract, which can cause slack in the belt. In the event of a crash, this can increase the risk of injury to the driver. Dealers will replace the driver's side seat belt assembly.

Summary
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: REGULAR CAB PICKUP TRUCKS. THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT RETRACTOR MAY NOT FULLY RETRACT THE BELT.
Consequence
THIS COULD CAUSE SLACK IN THE SEAT BELT WHEN WORN, INCREASING THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY TO THE SEAT OCCUPANT, IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY.
