The rear lamps don't give much problems on that car. Make sure the correct bulbs are fitted, if a light bulb doesn't work try a new bulb or swap that bulb with one that works from the other side. Make sure right bulbs, single or double filament are in the right sockets and no bulb holder is burned. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... Also im just fixed a similar issue, if your dash indicator for light comes on and stays on while your driving or attempting to drive. Check your Neutral Safety Switch on the side of the tranny. it controls reverse lights.
