Rear end high pitch sound

it just started this morning- stops when i press the gas pedal- rather loud- can't tell which side in the back- my car is all wheel drive if it matters- thank you

If the sound changes when the push the gas pedal or let off the pedal its probably the ring and pinion in the rear end is failing, has the rear end fluid ever been checked, Need to have this checked before further damage occurs
