On December 21, 2017, Ram recalled 62,042 Ram ProMaster 1500. Chrysler (fca us llc) is recalling various dodge, chrysler, and ram vehicles equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. a list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/rmisc-17v824-0103.pdf. these extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. for a full list of the affected fire extinguisher models visit: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/rmisc-17e062-5427.pdf

The fire extinguisher manufactured by Kiddie that is equipped with certain vehicles may become clogged at the point of discharge, preventing proper extinguisher operation. This can increase risk of injury.

Recall repairs on your Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram must be performed by a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram dealership, respectively. Chrysler will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in February, 2018. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.

The notifications printed on the sun visor, dashboard and within the owner's manuals provide incorrect information about what air bags the vehicle is equipped with. The incorrect statement shows that the vehicle is equipped with frontal driver and passenger advanced air bags, when this is not the case. With erroneous information, provided, occupants may position themselves to the vehicle air bags in ways that can increase risk of injury.

For vehicles equipped with the 3.0L turbo Diesel engine, when the driver turns off the electronic stability control system, it may not automatically turn back on upon vehicle restart. This could mislead the driver to think that the stability control is active when it is not. If the driver fails to reactivate the system, it will not function during driving, increasing risk of a crash.
