Radiator fan quit working. What could the problem be?

I put in a new relay switch and was told to get a thermostat switch, but can't find where that is located.

Start with the basics, meaning test the fan motor it self with 12 volts and a good ground. Then go from there. This vintage Escort uses the Coolant Temp Sensor to trigger the fan. Does the fan come on if you turn on the A/C?
