I have checked the egr valve itself and cleaned it as well as the vacuum modulator. I've scrubbed the metal pipe to the manifold and all the tiny tubes as well. Egr valve is stumbling like it should when in idle and pressing up on diaphragm. Releases as it should. The filter is clean on the vac mod. Should I go ahead and clean inside the manifold where it all connects? I hear it can get clogged shut with carbon and will generally throw a p0401. I'm about 124k miles. Manual transmission 4spd with no power steering but I do have air-conditioning. Please help as I'm taking a road trip soon n need to get this fixed as well as learning what to do as I'm a girl and I should know this stuff

i replaced every thing new after replacing cylinder head. now it leaks water from intake. and i cant figure out why? if all gaskeys r new.

1993 toyota tercel, does it have an EGR system if so how do i find it?
1993 tercel dx automatic. checked timing belt looked good, have replaced fuil filter and pump still bogs out and dies when i put it in gear.
already replaced a bunch of vacuum lines and a gas filter
Problem occurs occasionally but more often now. Wait for a short while then engine will restart. Distributor does not have an exciter but could the coil be faulty? What other possible causes?
Purchased a new oxygen sensor that has 2 white wires 1 gray & 1 black. My old 1 is the same brand but has 2 black and 1 blue and 1 white wire. It was purchased for 1996 Toyota Tercel 5 spd . Will the part still work or have I been sold the wrong one?
There is no noticable leakage or any colored smoke coming from the exhaust. The car has had all of its scheduled maintainence checks. It is burning about a quart for every 500 miles.
i have a 1990 toyota tercel. when i turn it on the engine starts making a knocking noise and continues faster if i hit the gas. i took off the header and looked at all the piston rods and everything seems to check from what i can see. oil level is fine and gas is at a quarter tank. Please help.
cuts off sometimes while driving i pop the clutch and it starts right back up....sometime the car has to have warmed up to do this
