can died - i'm told it needs: crankshaft, all kinds of stuff and I received an estimate for 7,000$ dollars!!!

As soon as the battery and brake light come on together the temperature shoots to the top and when it goes off the temperature goes back to normal already have check brake fluid level it is fine parking brake is not set I have no idea what's going on

How do you remove the interior rear view mirror

the radator does not keep water in it, car runs hot, was told idle was high. we changed that. service engine light went off, now it is back on

I have no clue on how to get my wire from the battery, all the way to the trunk without my wire being exposed under the car.

I have already replace d the valve cover gaskets and rear cam seals. So is the head gasket or front cam seals leaking oil onto my alternator? Thanks

Just got an tune up, oil change

Change the fuel pump, sparkplugs and plug wires obd throws a P0120 replace that too, it cranks but wont turn over.everytime i try to start it backfires from the intake and blow the dipstick off the engine

Cleaned t body all ports on top. 170ish K. Oil lite at idle in gear. Lots of vac.

was in shop for other repairs, shifter was found in 4wdL

Took to shop couldn't figure it out replaced idle control sensor fuel pump fuel filter and had a tune-up spent $800 on something I didn't even fix the problem

I replace all parts and have drove over 100 miles and my check engine like did not go out do I need to drive more

Shifting from 4-high to AWD issue with my 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport 3.5L.

It goes from 4-Low (all the way forward)
To 4-Hi (middle)
To AWD (all the way back)

Yes, I put it in neutral before shifting and I let it sit for like 10 seconds to give it some time to engage.

I've also tried doing it while in park.

Anyway, while shifting from 4-Hi to AWD, then beginning to drive, it makes a grinding sound while going, as if it's not completely engaging/disengaging. So I have to shift it back into 4-Hi to make it sound normal.

On a side note - I'm not quite sure while in 4-lo or 4-hi it's actually engaged because while driving in a tight Circle it doesn't "Buck" like four wheel drive normally does.

There are NO engine lights (or other arning lights) indicating a problem.

Any advice would be appreciated.

The montero has been sitting for month and the horn stayed on and high/low horn disconnected , tried to start the car and will not stay started when put in drive position, battery is older then 5 years but hold charge , alternator is good. Carbon built up and not car smokes when pressing acelarator. It was running just fine before it set to long , what could it be?

It's stuck in fourth gear

I was driving after more than 40 kilometres I just decided to pulled over to get a water to drink and I switched off the engine after that the engine refuse to start .I have since changed the starting censor and the fuel pump but car refuse to start but it kicking with only 2 light showing on the dash board. Please what do I do to start the engine my electrician suggest the brain box is bad that ERC which number start with MR5

It has a new battery and alternator. But all of the sudden it died and needed jumped to turn back on. As soon as I put it in reverse, it died again. I got it to work and wouldn't start again. It would try to die at red lights. When I pulled in to park, it died. It'll still start with a jump, but won't turn back on. The engine also makes a kind of rattling noise. And squeals.

I'm trying to change the breaks on my front two tires of my car and the lugnuts are loosened and the car is jacked up but the tire will not budge and come off. Is there a trick to taking them off?
