I checked the battery and the accessory battery and both are good but my van will not read the key or even work any of the accessories, it is acting as if it were dead even though it is not. Does anyone know what I may be looking at?
I left the keys on the "on" position overnight and this morning I noticed the battery was dead so I went to charge it and that when I realized the keys were in the "on" postition because as I connected the terminals the lights were flickering. So I took the keys out and I let the battery charge for a couple of hours and now when I go to turn on the engine the starter doesn't engage the relays work and the fuse is not blown. I really don't know what is wrong. The lights and everything works except when I try to turn it over the starter doesn't engage
I'm getting a code flashing on the dash
What does the code 77d mean ??
We're looking at motorhomes and the MB Diesel. This engine is really taking a beating over EGR-DEF issues and MB response (I've been through issues like this with the corp end of car companies. I feel the pain of people having to deal with these problems. I don't care what you pay for your car...car companys on the corp level are all the same). So, did MB ever REALLY fix this issue?? Thanks,
What are the best tools in helping remove the front grille?
we have a mercedes with number varification WDB9066331S374562 and when its cold the machine starts and works properly
Only does it at low speeds. The Sprinter tracks straight when on the fwy at speed and low speeds.

It happens at 5mph or less
Will chime display the above, go off and reappear ever so often.
The van has a little over 18,00 Miles on it and i recently drove it from MN to Nd and back. I stopped and fueled up twice and shut the sprinter van down three times during the trip. I got back to our shop in MN that night and the sprinter van ran perfectly fine the entire trip with no sign that anything was wrong. I parked it that night and made sure everything was turned off and went home. The next day I came back to unload the van and when I went to start it the van did not turn over. All the dummy lights clear except for the engine light that stays lit up. I can turn the key in all positions and get all the rings and bells and lights but it will not turn over when I turn the key to "start" the van. I assumed it was battery related and went ahead and checked the battery, connections, fuses and everything was fine...I know there seems to be a lot of issues with the DEF additive and the sensors revolving around the emissions non- sense, but all of the fluids are good and there are no lights coming up in regards to that issue. I'm completely lost as to why this thing wont start, when I used it the day before and it ran fine. To top it all off the closest Mercedes sprinter repair shop is over 100 miles away and when I called there service dept. all they could tell me was it was the battery, which I know for a fact is not the reason...Can anybody shed a some light on the subject and help me out? Mercedes has not impressed at all, I'm very frustrated with there service team and as far as there vehicles go, I will NEVER own another one! very poor quality as far as power-train and motor goes and I've heard and seen nothing but bad things from other people while trying to find a solution to my issue.
OR WHEN YOU KICK IT INTO PASSING GEAR ACTS LIKE YOU ARE SHUTTING THE KEY OFF AND ON WILL CONTINUE TO DO THIS UNTIL YOU LET OFF THE THROTTLE WILL ASLO SET THE CRANK SENSOR CODE WHEN THIS HAPPEN DOES FINE UNTILL CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND CRANK CODE SETS
Do I really need to replace the screws after their removal and replacement for towing (as recommended in the owner's manual)?
