Constantly. I thought maybe bad gas?? I added additives and premium afterward ...but after clearing out P1129, it reappeared..and still having a lot of problems. Should I replace the MAP sensor vaccum line? Or ?
Can't loosen the Rotor nut. Does it loosen counter clock wise or loosen by clockwise. Roy
I changed the canister and all the solenoids attached to it and it changed the purge valve at the firewall and still having this issue and code.
This cars transmission when cold shifts nicely and is very responsive (gutsy), but after a brief warm up period all the speeds basically go gutless, and the only speed/gear is in the 2 position. There is also a very loud clunk when you shift it in and out of park, which my customer doesn't hear because the poor young man is deaf. I asked if he felt it and he said yes. He was relieved someone knew what that was. lol. I have heard a lot of relatively bad stuff regarding this transmission, from the college I attend and a transmission shop here in town, ran by a friend of mine. However, my hunch about this transmission running like a bat out of hell until it warms up are these. The fluid smells scorched, and is more of a dark brown than pink. So I am thinking either fluid has lost its viscosity, the filter inside is clogged, or maybe the transmission cooler lines/cooler could be clogged or very restricted. What do you all think? For example you put the key in the ignition then you turn the key to the position just before the start position and all the dash lights are suppose to light up for a second.The engine light comes on and blinks once.In the run position no engine light is lit.Thank you in advance for your answers.
Engine light is on. Diagnosis= charcoal canister and the shut off valve vent need to be replaced as there is a leak. Priced at 439.00 USD for diagnostics, parts, and labor....what does this mean? Is this an important repair to make? Does it affect the car/performance at all? Help! I can do brakes but NO experience with were p1457 and p1298 but ELD was already switched out in the driveway at home, (so I hope it's good!)....
Car braked perfectly. Sat for 1 month, then full front vibration. Drove, heated brakes, broke off rust build up, just wheel vibration when stopping at about 40 MPH. Was told I needed front brakes, rotors, etc. and all kinds of work on rear. Went from smooth as glass to warped rotors in 1 month? Review and advise if this appears correct.
it's not getting the gear signals from the transmission/shifter to the dashboard/car not letting me turn it on even by unlocking the shifter it still will show no signal on any other gear
the check enginge light is not on but the mant reqd lite is on - I faild spog once, right after replacing battery BUT for 5 years I have had check engine light on on my 2000 Toyota Corolla & have passed smog every year after disconnecting battery before I go for test
Car was dead jumped battery. Drove home battery was bone dry.Filled battery, but car would not start. Tried jumping again nothing. Replaced battery nothing.Checked fuses. Maim 100ohm fuse blown. Replaced fuse. Car runs fine, but all brake system lights are on.
Just replaced brakes on rear less than 2000 miles ago. When driving car in the morning(first time of the day), I notice a grinding coming from the rear when I apply the brakes. After about two or three stops grinding goes away. Also this does not happen everyday.
