What is your question?
Two weeks ago, I had a 100000 mile service on my 2020 Toyota Camry at the dealership....oil change, coolant service, upper engine decarb service, and 4 spark plugs (yes, I got upsold). Ten days later, I was driving on the freeway and lost power. The check engine and other lights came on and I cruised over to the shoulder. Had it towed to a shop I had used many times before. He discovered that the intake air resonator had cracked and plastic pieces of it had wedged in the butterfly valve, causing it to stay open. He replaced the resonator and cleaned the throttle valve housing. Could the dealer have cracked the resonator while doing the specifics of the 100000 mile service? I'm obviously not a mechanic, but I'm thinking it's possible. My hope is to have the dealer reimburse me for the cost of my repairs at the second mechanic's shop. And I do have the cracked resonator and plastic pieces.

"Upper engine decarb service" - what is that and does Toyota call for it in the owners manual? Everything else sounds reasonable based on mileage. Sounds like this part may have been removed during the extensive service; I'd suggest contacting the service manager at the facility to discuss. Although it can't be proven, it's compelling. Good luck!
