To withdraw the lock assembly the key has to be in the accessory position and then depress the pin. If it can't be put in the accessory position the lock may have to be drilled or the column drilled to withdraw the ignition lock. I know local locksmiths in our area come out and can remove the lock assembly perhaps cheaper that auto shops can.
