What is your question?
I sometimes must turn key while in ignition up to 8 times for car to finally start. There is 209,000 miles on car and the key is worn however I have no better results with spare key that is hardly worn. *Is there a recall for this problem? *Rather then replacing switch can tumblers be somehow adjusted or replaced? Please Help me out & Thanks, Ted *What would cost be to replace ignition switch?

O'reilly has a replacement ignition switch for around 55 bucks, and the job isn't very hard. Remove the bottom and top bezel to the steering column and and disconnect the airbag(yellow clip), From there turn the key in the ignition to ACC and there should be a release button on the top to the right. It should slide right out and the new one should slide in, but be sure you have the new one in the ACC position Hope this helps!
at a dealership they charge more, but actual cost at a locksmith is about $50 to $75 and that is if they have to change your initial key (you need to know the code number of the chip in your key) and these keys cost $25 each.
What if the key won't turn ?? Mine won't - can't get it to the ACC position or any position for that matter. Steering wheel is 'locked' in place too. Any thoughts ? Thank you...
