Hi I have a mazda mx6 the car starts and idle but doesnt rev up it fails total

Well what do u mean not totally could be your throttle cable is getting stuck some might b in way if youv had work or done work recently on car check your intake system for leaks make sure sensors and wires are tight along with plug wires otherwise I'd think something with throttle cable maybe intake flap got knocked around and needs adjust could b lots so can we get a little more detail
