What is your question?
After running the jeep whole day I tried leaving around 10pm it would crank but no start, the fuel gauge suddenly reads empty and wouldn't budge even after I throw 2 gallons of gas into. I have checked spark plugs, fuel pump has been changed a few months back, the engine isn't reading any other codes expect expect a VSS that I know is bad. Does anyone have suggestions on starting the jeep need it to get around

Yes I do find it strange as well, the jeep sounds like it wants to turn over but just cant, I checked for spark and my battery is reading 12v in the power outlet ( I have a small voltmeter inside the jeep) I have been running it low on fuel quit a bit lately I'm not sure if that may have help kill the wiring? When I turn the key I can hear the fuEl pump whinning but when I press on the gas pedal no fuel. Today I plan on taking down the fuel tank an checking the sending unit
Highly recommend more testing before fuel tank removal .. IF 3.7L engine - possible timing chain issue .. IF ignition spark is sufficient - - recommend fuel ‘pressure’ test.
Yes it is a 3.7l....I really don't want to take the tank down, why I said it's what I'm going to do in thinking since the fuel gauge just suddenly stuck on empty maybe the sender or float maybe even the fuel filter has something to do with it.. I have a spark when I tested that, I haven't tested for fuel pressure as yet I did check all fuses an relays, haven't checked timing belt as yet. Vehicle is also showin no error codes, I do know of the VSS gone bad it actually stripped from the harness jack an has a few expose wires. Few months back when I changed the fuel pump it would start an stop I figured that the wires were touching the ebrake cable an shorting it to a stop. I taped the expose wire and separate it from the ebrake cable it hasn't giving me any trouble unail now
Reason for my last suggestion was you stated you can hear the fuel pump operating - so a fuel ‘pressure’ test would confirm the pump is actually supplying enough fuel.. This engine has timing chains.. A ‘compression test’ would be required to determine if a failure has occurred. Just don’t want you to do a bunch of unnecessary work here.
Yh man I understand I know how to do a fuel pressure test I'll have to do one for compression. Something I noticed my Girlfriend took it for gas a few days back filled to the half mark. It ran When it wouldn't start I said maybe it's fuel and it's on a gentle slope so maybe right. Upon getting gas etc Im about to fill up an I notice the gas cap came off fairly easy. The little door for the cap was closed completely is it possible maybe water or excess air got into the tank an messed up something?
Add more fuel to tank! ... 5 gallons at least.
Have had to tow many a vehicle due to OUT OF GAS..
Post the eventual outcome..
Today I managed to start the vehicle by spraying starter fluid into it but it wouldn't stay running even when pressed on gas pedal. The gas gauge still reading empty
That is a good thing - we know the ignition system is NOT the culprit.. Did you put more gas in tank? .. You mentioned the Jeep was sitting on an incline - if not enough gas in tank - pump will not pick up the fuel .. (Make sure the security light in dash is not on - that can cause this problem) IF there is sufficient fuel in tank - fuel pressure test MUST be performed before proceeding with troubleshooting.

Today I took off my fuel line I turned the key to the one position and my gas gauge read a 1/4 tank. I placed it back on to see if it would start but nothing. Also the fuel wasnt squirting out it was a drip now an again. Any suggestions?
I have 2008 Jeep Liberty crank no start the problem is vapor lock look for fuel line running along side if engine mine is on passenger side others on drivers side it will have a t the t has a black cap like a tire valve stem only bigger (this is a bleed valve) remove the cap...with small screw driver push the valve stem in allow the air out when gas feels cool STOP replace cap The fuel line gets heat from engine and when you stop engine it vaporizes the gas in the line wrap a cloth or rag around the end of screwdriver so gas doesn’t get all over your hands I guarantee you this will work until you drive again...warm weather is worse than cooler weather. Open the hood to allow it to cool if you can’t find bleed valve it will take a while to cool this way
