i have 1995 Honda civic i just bought battery does the new battery mess up computer as far a smog test do i have to drive 30 miles first Thanks Terry

anytime the battery goes dead or is disconnected the computer resets. if you're trying to get an emissions test,then the inspection station is probably showing some monitors not set to ready. if so,you will have to complete a drive cycle until all the required monitors set to ready,maybe 50-150 miles around town,stop and go,interstate driving,heat on/off,A/C on/off,just normal driving should do it.
