What is your question?
I came home car Honda Accord 2008 v6 was driving fine when I got back in the car it starts and stops in 2 seconds and the green key sign on left. Got towed it to mechanic now he’s telling me that my timingbelt broke and he needs to change the engine.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Engine starts and stops immediately green key sign shows on display Mechenic says that timing belt broke engine needs to Chang.
How long has your 2008 Honda Accord had this problem?

It's possible but if you don't trust the diagnosis you should get a second opinion. Use this link to find a good shop near you. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops Alex
Well has the timing belt been replaced as required by Honda Motors - as stated in the *owners manual* ? IF not - then the mechanic is more than likely correct!
If it starts running, then stops, along with the green key light flashing, then it is an immobilizer problem, NOT a timing belt issue(yet). I would be curious to the results from this one!
