Why did my abs light and traction light come on at same time.

The traction control system and ABS are related, both reduce wheel speed and skid. As for the hitting a bump and the light coming on, the bump may be big enough that the wheel looses contact with the road and the system senses wheel slip. Or you could have a loose connection in an ABS sensor wire.
