What is your question?
Lights on dashboard turn on dim and basically when I turn the key to turn on my Acura it just does a clicking noise Took the battery to autozone had it charged and was told battery was good so I had the car on and took off the negative terminal and the car stayed on meaning alternator is good so I'm not sure can someone give me some ideas of what to check THANK YOU!!
What makes this problem better or worse?
Well I have to have one of the terminal off the battery and when I need to use the car I have to connect it and it still gives me a hard time to turn on but I just press on the gas pedal n it will turn on
How long has your 2006 Acura TSX had this problem?

Hello, to directly answer the question - sure, it could be your starter motor. However - Taking your negative terminal off the battery while the vehicle is running proves nothing, and actually can cause major electrical system problems. This isn't 1977 anymore; vehicle charging systems are not the same as they used to be when people checked charging systems that way and power surges are a serious concern. An alternator at idle is not strong enough to operate processors, and offers extremely uneven current which can cause serious electrical issues with the vehicle. The battery still could be the cause of the problem. I don't trust "Autozone" and their method of testing. Nor would I suggest purchasing a battery there. Have your battery tested at an independent repair shop -- while in the vehicle. Or, take it to your Acura dealership for a no charge battery test -- they should do that for you. Pressing the gas pedal in an effort to help start the vehicle isn't even a battery concern! You could have an engine performance issue. You really do need some hands on guidance. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
