Power Steering Pump

(1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue)
in Joplin, MO on March 31, 2010
My olds has about 108,000 miles and the power steering pump went out. I had it replaced and it lasted 2 days and it blew out the new pump.
What might be my problem?

The quality of remanufactured power steering racks and pumps vary and there are a lot of poor quality remanufactured pumps and racks out there. If by "blew out" you mean oil leaks or a hose burst i suspect the pressure relief valve in the pump its self is not working so the pump needs to be replaced. As the parts supplier how many returns have they had from this parts manufacturer and if the parts supply counter person thinks this is a good brand.
