What might be the cause for powering steering leak. Could this be from a leaking fitting on the power steering pump?
Maybe from a leaking hose connecting to the power steering pump? I could not find a place in which to check the powering steering fluid level, is there one?

If you can't find a hose or fitting leaking, it could be that the power steering pump seal is hardened and leaking. Also when the pump bushings wear out the seal can't usually do it anymore. Clean it up and check carefully with a flashlight and mirror if necessary for the source of the leak.
More than likely this leak is coming from the input seal of the steering gearbox. There is a TSB suggesting techs replace the unit rather than the seals.
