On February 22, 2013, Porsche recalled 2,263 Porsche 911. Porsche is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 911 carrera and carrera 4 vehicles manufactured from march 7, 2012, through november 12, 2012, and equipped with a standard (not sport) exhaust system. the exhaust tail pipe may fracture and separate from the rear muffler.

Certain 2012-2013 Carrera and Carrera 4 models equipped with a standard exhaust system are being recalled because the tail pipe may separate from the rear muffler unexpectedly.

If you have an affected vehicle, Porsche will notify you. If you believe your car is affected or are experiencing any abnormal noises or vibrations from the exhaust system, you should contact your Porsche dealer. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call. The Porsche recall number is AD01.

One of the engine fuel lines may become disconnected, resulting in a fuel leak, engine misfires, engine stalling, and an increased risk of a fire.

Porsche will notify owners of the affected vehicles beginning in April of 2012. If you notice engine performance issues and/or an abnormal fuel please don't drive your vehicle, and contact your Porsche dealer. The Porsche recall number is AC02.
