Popping sound when turning left

When turning left a popping sound can be heard from the front left and it also whins when turning

Possibly the left front CV shaft is failing and binding and causing the power steering pump to whine trying to turn left, need to have a repair shop check this www.repairpal.com/directory

tie rod..... it was like that for my 99 grand am for a while untill making a u turn and hearing a huge pop and getting out to see my front wheels facing different directions... do your self a favor and replace the tie rod now or it might cause an accident later on.
