Periodical noise when heater is turned on

(2005 Ford F-150)
There is a noise that can be heard outside my 2005 Ford F150 XLT while the heat is turned on. This occurs maybe every 30 seconds or so. don't thinks the blower because the heat is still warm in the cab and doesn't struggle. Maybe it is the compressor? The noise is much louder outside my truck near hood
What seems to make the problem better or worse? Turn the heat on
How long have you had this problem? Few weeks

Hello, yes, sounds like your air conditioning compressor is cycling. This is likely normal operation. The air conditioning compressor will continue to be operational and useful using heat settings because it acts to dehumidify the interior in an effort to keep the windows clear.
