Passenger side electric window control button will not raise or lower the window

(1997 Ford F-250)
in Potwin, KS on July 07, 2013
I thought the window might be stuck, so I ran a credit card around the window and it actually worked. But it was a one time fix. It won't raise or lower at all. I don't know anything about how to fix this and it sure is aggravating.

Will the drivers side switch operate the passenger window? If neither switch works on that window, replace the lift (window) motor!
