The emergency brake is controlled by vacuum from the motor. first look under your dash on the driver side toward the top of your e brake assembly and ,make sure the vacuum line is hooked up. then check under the pass side of the dash, there is a black box with several color vac lines going to it make sure they are plugged in.there is a vac line going into the firewall make sure that is hooked up, it leads to the box on the inside of the dash. if all is connected make sure you have vacuum, if so then you have a bad vacuum ball located at the top of the e brake assembly ,or a bad e brake assembly
