(2001 Chrysler Town & Country)
in Philadelphia, PA on March 16, 2011
I have the engine light on. I got codes p0700 and p0740, but my car is running good at all speeds and I have no problems at all. Should I fix the codes or ignore it?

Found online: And by the way, never ignore codes.

Re: P0700 and P0740 P0700 is a catch all code telling you there is something wrong in the transmission"s electronic controls. Many times that is the only code that pops up making it difficult to determine what's up. Thank your lucky stars you have a second, much more revealing code. The P0740 is telling you there is a problem in the circuit that controls the torque converter in the transmission....

I have just had the same problem. I replaced the torque converter, fluid and input sensor. So far transmission is acting perfect. No trash was found at the filter. And the fluid was clean .
