One fuse box is under the hood the other inside on the drivers side

My 1997 ford escort of has a ticking on the passenger side engine it starts ticking when it get warm..What is causing it and can I have it repaired..It idle little hard when in gear at a stop..When it's cold, it starts and wants to shout off but it catches itself..What can be done..
What seems to make the problem better or worse? It gets rough when it's idling at a stop
How long have you had this problem? About a month now
