Oil Pan

(1990 Ford F-250)
in Salinas, CA on March 11, 2010
How do you remove oil pan from 1969 Ford F-250 360 engine manuel tranny. Do I pull out towards the front, or pull back. I lifted engine 4 inches but still having trouble. Thanks for your help.

4 inches is too little. You need an engine hoist ( cherry picker ) to lift up the engine and trans, maybe a foot or so. You should loosen your trans mounts as well. Ford V8s have DEEP oil pans.
