Oil light

(1999 Ford Windstar)
in National City, CA on May 11, 2011
My oil light comes on after the engine has been running a few minutes but goes out right way and it comes on when I stop at stop light. All oil levels are good and van runs good and never hot.

The oil pressure sender could have failed, so the pressure has to be verified by a mechanical gauge. Partially clogged pick up screen also could restrict flow, therefor causing pressure problems.
Most shop has the tester to verify the pressure.
