Oil leaking from oil sending unit, can a weekend warrior mechanic like me fix it

(2006 Chevrolet Impala)

Leaking oil by the filter i replace filter and still leaking. I now believe it to be the sending unit. How much do they cost and can an average joe fix it?

they are fairly cheap and yes with the proper tools. oil sending unit socket,poss rent one at napa but not a must

I have better tools then the tools have mechanic. So your saying there is a socke for job but its not neccisary
