Oil leak behind engine, dripping off trany cover? or something else?

appears to be motor oil/ dripping by manual transmission.

It could be so many things that it is hard to guess without cleaning the oil away and looking for the leak. If it is coming from inside the transmission bell housing it may be the crankshaft rear main seal or the transmission input seal. Make sure it is not a valve cover gasket that is actually leaking and dripping downward.
