Oil change

(1991 BMW 525i)
in Indianapolis, IN on October 12, 2010
My wife has a 1991 BMW 525i. I'm wanting to change the oil before cold weather sets in. I'm not mechanical whatsoever so I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I would go about changing the oil in this car. I've changed my oil in my jeep grand cherokee but the BMW looks quite different. Thanks!

Its very easy! The filter is a canister type and is located on the front top of the cylinder head. Get a oil filter kit from BMW. remove and replace it FIRST to include the o-rings on the filter insert so the oil drains into the pan then just drain the pan and refill it- It uses more than 5 quarts so make sure you fill it properly!
