Oil additive

(2007 Buick LaCrosse)
in Barrington, NH on November 16, 2010
Dealer recommended a BG oil additive along with the stand oil change & filter. It is 25 dollars xtra and includes road service for 4 mos. (We have AAA) Sounds like a rip off to me. Would this be necessary?

SORRY THIS IS A DUPLICATE.

BG's products are really works, however the oil additive has benefits if you can't get good quality oil. I'd rather ask to put BG oil into the engine, since the price is very competitive with the good quality synthetic oils and already has all the additives in it.
