Not holding windshield wiper fluid but evan herar the motor runningz

(1999 Ford Expedition)
in Rock Hill, SC on March 13, 2018
I filled the windchill wiper reservoir with fluid and I could hear the motor running trying to spray the fluid but nothing came out. I also noticed after a period of time that the fluid had leaked out somewhere.do I need to do through fluids or check individual lines for leaks for trash Build up or is there a more simple way of checking this?
What seems to make the problem better or worse? Nothing changes

Add some fluid - have a helper activate pump while you look under hood - possible broken fluid tubing from tank / pump to spray nozzles.

Leaking fluid tubing is difficult to discover without pressure from pump.
