It could be a brake pad shim that is dislocated, a brake pad sensor that is indicating the brake pads are worn and in need of replacement. If it is the bearing that is bad the bearing that is really bad. It's safest to get it checked out, if it is worn brake pads it is more cost effective to get it repaired now as opposed to waiting until damage occurs.
