Their are many possible causes,starting point is to access or scan the computer for codes.This will lead you in a direction to start the diagnoses,the fuel system,ignition system,engine timing mechanical or electronic,transmission problem,or restricted exhaust.As you see it can get quite involved and changing parts could get very expensive.I would recommend you take it to a certified auto repair shop,They will probably ask 1-2 hours of diagnostic time.
