The power steering pump may be failing on your 1996 Buick Park Avenue. When the power steering fluid is cold it is thicker and the pump is able to supply the necessary pressure. When the fluid warms it thins out, the pump must spin faster (as you rev the engine) to build the necessary pressure. A good repair shop should be able to confirm this by attaching a pressure gauge to the power steering system. Jim; You were right on the money! A new pump and its like new again. Thanks soooo much.
