On April 16, 2018, Nissan recalled 483 Nissan Titan XD. Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain 2016-2018 nissan titan, 2016 and 2018 nissan titan xd vehicles. accessories installed on these vehicles reduced the load carrying capacity, however, a load carrying capacity modification label was not installed, possibly allowing the vehicle to be overloaded. as such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 110, "tire selection and rims."

For vehicles that have been modified by the installation of accessories, the load carrying capacity may have been reduced when these accessories were installed, but a replacement load carrying capacity label was not installed to reflect the new load capacity. This could lead to inadvertent overloading of the vehicle, resulting in an accident.

Recall repairs on your Nissan must be performed by a Nissan dealership. Nissan will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in June, 2018. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Nissan dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
