On January 18, 2017, Nissan recalled 341,005 Nissan Altima. Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain 2015-2017 altima vehicles. the rear door latch/lock cable on the vehicles may have been improperly routed. as a result, lowering a rear window may inadvertently cause that door to unlatch and open.

The rear passenger doors of the vehicle may unexpectedly open when lowering the rear windows, due to the location of the door latch cables. This could cause injury to vehicle occupants.

Recall repairs on your Nissan must be performed by a Nissan dealership. Nissan will notify known owners of affected vehicles (a timetable of this notification is unavailable as of the time of this writing). If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Nissan dealerships.
