Dodge have a technical service bulletin about them having changed from a composite type head gasket to a multi layer steel gasket. I wonder if this was the up grade? The bulletin outlines the precautions to take when replacing the head gasket and using a multi layer steel gasket. If proper cleaning procedures were not followed it could result in an oil leak.
