This is amazing! I've never owned an import and probably never will. I am just trying to help out someone else who is also trying to find the location of the neutral safety switch. Apparently this is some top secret information that everyone refuses to answer. I've been searching the web for over an hour and I've found pictures of the part but no information. By the looks of it, it appears it could go on the transmission over the selector shaft or it might mount on the shift lever in the center console. I would find it if I had the car in front of me, but I don't.

I fell in love with the brand I drive because darn near everything interchanges between the different models, (so you know I don't drive GM over-computerized junk). I'm guessing the switch location is the same between Honda models, but to provide complete information, this fellow's car is a '96 Acura 2.5TL automatic. If anyone knows where the neutral safety switch lives, (or hides), I'd be grateful if you'd let me know.

Thanks bunches;

I have that part, but I'd like to see a schematic of where it goes. It keeps blowing the fuse.. so I want to replace it.. so I dont have to use a screwdriver to put it in gear.

It is for a 1998 Acura CL 2.5.

Not sure if you're looking for the neutral safety switch, which is located to the left of your clutch and squarish is shape....or the ignition safety switch, which is located above the clutch pedal (will be yellow plug-in with 2 wires coming from it) Both are a little hard to reach, but easier if you remove the knee panel below the steering column. Hope this helps!
