Neutral pressure switch (NPS) circuit failure/ Circuit open. What does that mean? where is it? how much for the part and can I do it myself. Thanks.

"neutral pressure switch". Ford calls it a Neutral Drive Switch, Park/Neutral switch, or a Manual Lever Position Sensor, and yes, it's the same thing as a neutral safety switch.
