SRS stands for 'supplemental restraint system,' meaning airbags. When your SRS warning light comes on, it usually means that you airbags are failing your car's self-test for one reason or another. Perhaps they are expired (most airbags have an expiration date between 10 and 15 years after purchase), or their deploy mechanism is faulty.
